This notice describes how protected health information (PHI) may be handled in connection with the Celly Rx prescription savings program.
The Celly Rx prescription savings program itself is a discount card program and does not, in its operation as a discount program, function as a HIPAA-covered entity. The program does not provide healthcare or pay healthcare claims. DISCOUNT ONLY — NOT INSURANCE.
However, the pharmacies that fill your prescriptions, your prescribing providers, and any healthcare providers you see through Celly Health Medical Group are HIPAA-covered entities. Their handling of your PHI is governed by HIPAA and by their own Notice of Privacy Practices, which they are required to provide you.
When you present your Celly Rx card at a participating pharmacy, the pharmacy submits a discount adjudication request to the ScriptSave WellRx network. This generates a transaction record containing your medication, dosage, quantity, fill date, the pharmacy, and the discounted price. This information may be used to administer the discount program and may be analyzed in aggregated, anonymized form for program improvement.
If you participate in clinical services provided by Celly Health Medical Group or any affiliated provider entity — including the Chronic Inflammation Protocol — that service is governed by HIPAA. You will receive a Notice of Privacy Practices from the provider entity describing your rights regarding the PHI it maintains.
To the extent any Celly Health entity maintains PHI about you as a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate, you have rights including:
For requests related to information held by Celly Rx or Celly Health, contact: hello@cellyhealth.com · 844-235-5963.
For requests related to a specific provider visit or pharmacy fill, contact that provider or pharmacy directly — they hold the records.
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with us at the contact information above. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights. We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
